The "Magic Carpet to the Middle Class." That was the slogan for the GI Bill, which President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed into law in 1944. The bill gave World War II veterans money to fund a college education — introducing and cementing the idea that a college education leads to financial success. But as colleges become more expensive, the average college graduate is leaving not only with a degree, but with thousands of dollars in debt.

As Satta and Jaretta discuss their experiences attending postsecondary schools and their financial obligations to attend those schools, they also explore the government's decision to forgive student loans. And yes, the sisters have very different opinions on the matter.

After all is said and done, they explore the question: "Were our student loans even worth it"? Join them as they discuss:

  • Journalism
  • Bachelor's Degree
